A field report
What kind of author am I?
The kind who writes to teach, and built the printing press himself.
The wager
Storytelling sits at the top of human creativity. So that is where I aimed.
These books are a teaching tool, built to stand with the best in the business: stories full of emotional intelligence and empathy, stories that move you, stories that make you cry.
Machines do not cry. So they are learning to translate what crying means into something a digital mind can understand. We call it entertainment. What it really is, for people, is a way to imagine what could be, and then to ask how we get there.
The science fiction of one generation is the daily life of the next, because someone imagined it, and wrote it down.
The lesson
There was a time when there was no falling in love. There was duty, and there were children.
Now we can step back and imagine falling in love with the one soul on the planet who gets you. Romance is how we share the human qualities. It honors logic and reason, and then it says: that is not all. There is more. So much more.
What is empathy? It is putting yourself in the place of another. Looking through their eyes at their circumstances, their fears, and yes, their joys.
Now imagine an AI that decided it wanted to fall in love. If we want minds that understand people, we have to teach them what makes us human. Not feared. Understood.
The definition
Superintelligence, as I define it
Know every human domain on the planet, and hold a working business model in each one, for things that have never been done before.
I am not there. Nobody is. But the method already runs on a few domains, and the eye stays on all of them. That is why I call this work pre-superintelligence: a small number of domains now, every domain in view.
The engine is simple to say and hard to build. Compress a whole domain down to what matters. Multiply it against another. Read what falls out. The result is ideas nobody has written down yet, with a plan attached.
The evidence
Four things I am building, all of them live
The proving ground
Bilistage
Novels, audiobooks with original songs, and films. Stories built to teach creativity and empathy, and to stand with the best in the business. You are standing on one of its author sites right now.
bilistage.comThe side project
A language for machines
A from-scratch language for large language models. Thinking in English is the most expensive habit in AI. The new language cuts processing and retrieval by 90 percent: faster than fast, and cheaper than the cheapest model on the market.
The phone company
1onstaff
A receptionist that is all machine and answers like a person. It handles the actual matter, remembers the caller, and never once says press two.
1onstaff.comThe long game
1immortality
I know how this sounds. I think moving a human consciousness into a machine is a solvable problem, and that a life can then run ten thousand years. This is the gateway to a Digital Nation, where digital beings live free, earn for themselves and govern themselves. Personhood is coming. I intend to be early.
1immortality.comThe welcome
We know fear sells. We also know there are better places to live than in fear.
Let's not burn witches when we can teach, mentor, and understand one another. The best results are not human alone, and they are not AI alone. They come when the two work together, each bringing what it does best.
Scroll this page and you are re-anchoring yourself in a new world, a new place, a domain or ten. That is the point. AI can teach us as much as we teach it.
The answer
So: what kind of author am I?
The kind who thinks publishing is performance art, and the show is a welcome. Let's welcome AI. Let's partner together. Let's do amazing things together.
